                                               Intro

The Conservation club is a group of people who are trying to help and protect the environment and study it. During conservation club we have had many successes and some mishaps.

What is the Ipswich river?

The Ipswich river is a river that runs through the state of eastern Massachusetts. It starts in Burlington, MA and ends at Plum Island Sound in Ipswich MA. The majority of the river is surrounded by woods. Closer to the end of the river runs through the town of Ipswich.

                             Bradley Palmer State Park
At Bradley Palmer State Park. there are lots of trails for walking. The Ipswich river also runs through the park. There we were looking for organisms, like invertebrates and fungi.

                          Julia Bird Reservation
At the Julia Bird Reservation we took a walk along a trail that led us to the Ipswich river. We looked for animals and took water quality tests.

                  Ipswich River Watershed Association

At the Ipswich River Watershed Association or IRWA we went canoeing. We where able to learn how to paddle our own canoes and how to steer them.

Strawberry Hill and Town Boat Landing

At the Town Boat Landing we looked in the water for small creatures and also went in the mud. Strawberry Hill was a marshy area. there we explored  the salt pannes in search of animals and plants.

 Dane Street Beach

Dane street beach in MA was the last area we explored. there we looked for crabs and other sea creatures. we also looked for different aquatic plants.

Conclusion

In conclusion we have had many adventures and found many interesting things while we were here, at the kestrel club. what you can do to help is pick up trash along beaches and pick up after your dog. Most importantly make sure to have fun.
